
Laura’s Mother’s Day Tips for New Moms
We have exciting news at The Healing Rose — just in time for spring, founders Laura and Zach have added to their family! Laura welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world on March 24, bringing home a new brother for the twins. This makes Mother’s Day 2025 even more special, of course, as we take time to celebrate Laura along with new moms everywhere.
Self-care is so important in the months after giving birth, and for new mothers especially it can be incredibly rewarding to prioritize moments of self care. Because taking care of others often leaves so little time to take care of yourself, for Mother’s Day, Laura wanted to share a few of her tips for new moms and favorite Healing Rose products that are a must-add to any mother’s wellness routine.
Tips for New Moms
Your new baby is getting most of your attention right now — as they should! That means time is now your most precious resource, so when it’s not your turn to watch the baby, take some for yourself. Catch up with friends, and keep them close during this important transitional period in your life. Take an hour for a phone call, get out for a coffee, movie, or shopping trip with your group, and treat yourself to connecting with your people.
We know you’ve just read all the books on what to expect, but make sure you still make room for leisure reading. Keep up with your favorite authors and series, because soon enough you’ll be reading The Magic Treehouse aloud at bedtime.
Introduce your children to nature as young as possible. Accessible woodland paths are perfect for baby strollers and joggers, and getting out for a relaxing walk helps your body recover after carrying another life for nine months. Get moving, energize yourself, and let your infant soak in the sounds and colors of the natural environment.
Maybe most importantly? Tuck into your favorite meals. Sushi, tacos, delicious mocktails on the cusp of spritz season, or even just take-out at your favorite restaurant — you deserve to put yourself first for a day. Food is self-care, and you deserve it.
